Hey I'm back for yet another addition to my adventures, so last week was pretty good, still weeknights are kinda boring cuz you know everyone is doing homework and yes there is tons. but sometimes there are things to do at night. Like last night i ended up being a chemistry tutor for one of the girls in my FHE group, she didn't actually ask me to i kinda went over there and she was doing her homework and she asked me if i knew chemistry, and i was like yeah science major here of course i do, so my apartment is like the unofficial tutors of the FHE group cuz Tyler tutors them in physics and now i do Chem.
So last Wednesday i went to true "blue" football, this was so much fun, i actually didn't even play football while i was there i just played in a bunch of blue foam for 2 hours and i had a lot of fun doing so. What this was all about was there were these 2 big slides of foam down the hill at Helaman Field and so i was sliding for a while but then just playing around in the foam that was there, i have pictures of me on my face book so check it out if you wanna see me like a smurf, ha ha all i need is the little white hat (if anyone decides to photo shop this i want a copy send it to my email)
Last Thursday i went to the Temple to do baptisms for the day and i will be going every week so now i have something to do that is uplifting (mom i still need those names, grandma if you wanna send some too i would love them email mom for my address if you want to). I went with some people from my FHE group and we didn't have family names so it took forever but it was worth it.
Saturday was amazing, BYU played CSU (Colorado State University) and we won 42-23, there was tons of big hits and it was really fun to watch. After the football game i went to the women's soccer game against USU (sorry mom that's a bad school in my mind, but then again I'm biased) but either was we beat them 3-0, it was a great game that had a lot of physical contact that got a little dirty on USU side near the end, which is kinda expected cuz they were down 3 goals and they were frustrated, but hey i would have played like that the whole game. After the soccer game me J.J. Katie and Sarah went to Wendy's and got some food it was good but pretty busy but then again its on a college campus so i think its always busy. On the way back i decided to jump over these barricades cuz it was the middle of the night and i was hyper so why not, but when i jumped my right foot hit the first one then my left shin smashed on the second one and i almost fell on my beautiful face (that would have been tragic) but somehow i landed on my feet,I basically felt like superman, so now my left shin has a nice little bruise on it but o well it could have been worse.
Yesterday i taught the FHE lesson, since that is my calling, I taught on gaining a testimony which also turned into how to strengthen it, I was only supposed to take 15 min but i took about 30, but o well it was a great lesson, or at least everyone said it was, ok i know it was cuz i felt the spirit and anytime you feel the spirit its good, so yeah great lesson, one of the girls room made no bake cookies and they were great.
This seems like its about it for this week, i gotta represent our other blog lukeisms its always got more new stuff cuz Luke is just random like that, check it out its super funny, to check it out right now just click here, Ill be back next week for another update of Nathan's college adventures.

Tuesday, September 22, 2009
So I'm back to update this sucka cuz i mean it is Tuesday. So any ways this last week was pretty good, my classes are starting to pick up and get into the actual material so that means more work :( but o well that's what comes with college i guess.
Yesterday for FHE we went as a ward to go see Up and i would say that it is a great movie and that you should go see it if you haven't. The story line seems like someone high made it but then again what kids movie doesn't. If you do see this move you will love it, there is a lot of funny spots and there are spots that are sad (mom you will cry) there are spots that are crazy and spots that are like how the heck is this happening and how is the old guy not dead yet. Look at me being a movie reviewer how fun, good thing that's not what i want to do cuz then you would get these totally informal reviews and no one would see the movies.
I still have yet to teach a lesson for FHE, but hey I'm not complaining if i don't have to teach all semester i would not be mad about it. Actually this wont happen cuz i am teaching next Monday, i am going to be teaching on family unity cuz i mean we are a family now so might as well get close.
Last week I gave blood, i got a free shirt, it wasn't through the red cross so i was bummed but I'm sure they need it as much as the red cross and its already out of me so too late if i cared. It actually kinda sucks that i donated cuz next Monday there is a blood drive through my stake so i would have liked to show off to the ladies that I'm a good guy and if you wanna make me cookies that will be fine cuz ill need to get my blood sugar up, i know not realistic but a guy can dream right.
up to me they are Also i participated in this accessibility awareness thing that came to school, i learned that being in a wheelchair on a college campus sucks, and its kinda different when I'm used to people lookinglooking down to me cuz I'm not taller then them anymore, but anyways it was really hard i had to go down to the Smith field house and my mom can explain where that is its down by the ipf mom so get to it(if you forgot where the ipf is it was down the little street from brick oven). That was the hardest free shirt i got but i don't even have it cuz they didn't have my size so they are ordering me one, dang average size body.
I went shopping on Saturday and got a sweater vest, i was so excited, i know dork arms on fire freezing chest but i gotta say that i look dang hot in that sweater vest and hey if the girls like it i like it, i also got some new shoes and some pants and 2 shirts, i was gonna get a coat but then when i was looking they were like $100 and i didn't feel like spending that much on a coat....yet its gonna happen soon, cuz it was kinda cold this morning i think like low 40 high 30 or something so its coming D:
school district, it felt just like it did last year i mean it was mostly speakers (mom tell the 5Yesterday i did my first day of mo TOPS service, which is a tutoring program with the ProvoMexican and some Spanishth graders that i tutored last year hi, they were 4th graders then) I tutored in math so i was pretty comfortable, at least it wasn't English cuz we all know how not good at that i am, i mean have you been reading this, definitely not an English major.
On Saturday i also went to the first home football game which was a total letdown, the score was 54-28 Florida state winning by a lot, so we dropped 12 spots to #19 but hopefully we will win this week against Colorado state. I had my face painted for the game to be one of those people see and think woah what a fan, this was not the best idea cuz while the paint was drying it was itchy and i couldn't touch it and then after it was done drying i couldn't move my face which sucked.
group so we hang I had a bunch of people over for dinner on Sunday, i made my spaghetti sauce and they all loved it, but then again who doesn't, but our kitchen was packed full, there was 18 people eating in there, we pulled a table in that we found in the building and a bunch of chairs, there was too many people for the table so 2 of them were eating on the couch, i had one apartment bring rolls which were amazing, i need to get those girls to make me rolls more often and i had the other apartment bring a dessert, they brought individual chocolate lave cakes and they are all my new best friends cuz they tasted that good (we already were friends i mean they are from my FHEout a lot anyways)
This seems to be it so i miss you all but don't worry I'm doing great, o and check out our other blog its hilarious. just click here.

week 3
Well here i am im back, still surviving after another week of college. This last week was pretty good in football we demolished Tulane 54-3 so that was exciting, but no partying cuz it was kinda expected and also cuz the game was at like 1:30 so it was done really early, but anyways it was a good win, i cant wait till saturday's game against Florida State its a home game and its sold out so its gonna be epic. I got my ticket Monday and im like right in the middle of the south endzone like right in the middle of the uprights. We are currently ranked #7 in the country so lets see what we can do against this seminoles team, the commentators for the last game were saying that if we win this game then there is a good possibility that byu will go to the BCS championship bowl, how crazy would that be if byu won a national title the year before mi mission.
Last Friday was the Fall fest, which is like a big party kinda thing, it was pretty fun, i was dancing most of the time, but they had a bunch of stuff like speed dating, laser tag, salsa dancing, free food, a magician and live music o and the dance part. It was pretty huge cuz it was for the whole campus.
So today pres Monson gave the devotional today and it was amazing, the whole marriot center was full like there were no seats left so there was about 22,700 people there it was amazing. His devotional was really cool he like told about all the prophets he knew and about them, it was really cool.
We had family home evening last night and my family is really cool, there are 2 people from Hawaii in it which is crazy, so after home evening me and jj were going to the creamery and we decided that we would by the 2 apartments candy and goodies and ding dong ditch them, this wasn't the safest thing cuz both of them are on the top floor so it was kinda crazy getting down, but i talked to girls from both apartments and they think they have the best guy apartment in the ward, which is true of course cuz i mean i'm in it.
So i got the opportunity on Monday morning to give one of the girls in my FHE group a blessing cuz she was in a marathon on Saturday and she hurt her knee kinda bad it was pretty gross so me and my roommate Tyler gave her a blessing, and it was amazing, when she came to family home evening that night her knee was fine, no swelling, no pus, no pain when she walks, she can run and jump now, and all there is now are come scratches and cuts, so there is some priesthood in action for ya.
Well this seems to be it for my college adventures this week, o and our lukeisms blog gets updated almost everyday so chech it out at shippmates.wordpress.com, again i will update this again next Tuesday, so ttyl.

Hello all
This is my first entry and i thought i would tell you what this blog will be about, i will post a new entry once a week to let whoever wants to know what I'm up to in college, hence the name, Nathan's college adventures.
So i think the first thing i will tell you about is moving in, when i first moved in and i met my roommates it was very awkward around them and no one really talked then as time progressed we started talking more and more and now in my opinion we are all each others best friends and basically like a family to each other.
Now last Sunday in church i was giving a calling and i am the family home evening instructor, what i do is 2 times a month i will be teaching the a 15 min lesson in fhe which can be whatever i want or whatever i am inspired to write about. I am supposed to meet with the family home evening leader and plan when and where we will be having fhe. Something funny about my particular group is that we have the only girl fhe leader and i am the only boy fhe instructor so me and my roommates are joking that she is the fhe dad and i am the fhe mom. but it doesn't matter because I'm sure it will be the same either way.
So yesterday was labor day and me and my roommates and a couple other people decided that we were going to hike to the top o y mountain. We started with a bunch of people, our group had 17 people in it and we hiked to the y then our little group headed to the top of the mountain, we had 7 people: Erick my roommate, J.j. in the room next to mine, Luke in the other room next to mine (we made a blog dedicated to him and the things that he says because he is hilarious this is at shippmates.wordpress.com if you want to check it out), Katie one of J.j.'s friends from Virginia and now she is part of the group we all hang out together to do stuff, Lorraine she is from our ward and she wanted to come and she is pretty cool, Weston he is in the apartment under ours and he wanted to go to, and then there was me. The way up was quite difficult because the trail was pretty steep i would say about a 20% grade, and also because the air was thin (i still haven't gotten used to being at 5,000 feet let alone hiking up 3,000 feet higher) either way the trail up was so beautiful you just look around and you are in awe of what actually is around where you live, it was almost surreal. When we got to the top we had lunch and we overlooked the whole Provo valley which was amazing, i will upload the pictures that i took just as soon as i get the Sim card for my camera when my mom sends it but it was beautiful. We built a 68 out of rocks because the 7 of us are all from the BYU 68th ward.
I was at the football game on Saturday, they were broadcasting it in the wilk, BYUSA sponsored it and there was free food and drinks and it was a great time. The whole atmosphere was amazing during the whole game, the room went crazy every time we scored, made a good stop, got a first down, made a good pass or run and basically the whole time, especially when Colbey Clawson dislocated Sam Bradford's shoulder, he was the Heisman trophy winner from last year so it was a good thing for us that he got injured or else i don't think we would have won. After the game the whole campus was alive with excitement. Our group decided that we were not going to stay in our apartment that night because we were all pumped from the game, we heard about this dance party that was happening at the Cannon Center so we got a bunch of people from our dorm buildings and we headed over there, it was a lot of fun and of course i was dancing with a lot of girls.
The work load in college is about the same as high school except there is way more reading to do and if you know me you know i don't like reading but in any case i do it anyways because i don't want to fall behind. Yes mom i am doing my homework before i go out and do all these fun things. That seems like it so i will write again next week so till then bye bye, GO COUGARS.
